Where It All Started
Made With Intention
Marie & Carter started in 2021 with a simple idea: candles should do more than just smell good. They should shift your neurochemistry. Change your state. Turn a house into a sanctuary.
As a woman-owned brand, we pour every candle by hand in small batches, because that's the only way to make sure each one meets our standard. We use 100% soy wax, premium phthalate-free fragrance oils, and lead-free cotton wicks — nothing you wouldn't want burning in your space.
Every compound in our lineup is backed by research. We spent months studying aromachology — the science of how aromatic compounds affect the brain — and developed four formulations, each built around a single clinically-studied molecule: linalool for rest, beta-pinene for focus, D-limonene for energy, and beta-caryophyllene for grounding.
We don't believe in mass production. We believe in quality you can see, smell, and feel the moment you light the wick.
